Substance Instance Factory

The Substance Instance Factory is used to create Substance Graph instances. There are a number of Instance Factories to choose from in the Master Graph folder. Each of these have their features listed below, limiting the features helps improve the performance of the Substance Graph when editing.

Features Table

The main purpose of having a number of Factories is to choose which output Textures you need. For example if you need Height for Parallax Occlusion Mapping, be sure to use one which outputs Height from the Table above

The choice of Factory affects performance when editing with Decal Designer. For example, using AllOutputs will be slower than using Standard, as it is outputting a lot more Textures.
